“My husband & I stayed for the Valentines Day weekend. This was our fourth visit to Christopher Pace. The excellent location, superior accommodations, and fantastic breakfast keep us longing to return. Also, we always make reservations for dinner prepared by their outstanding Chef Karen Valentine. Her menus are top notch and everything tastes incredible. I’m wishing we were still there but of course we will be returning.” – Brenda

“The service team was full of the southern hospitality you’d expect. The owner is even on site and greeted me personally during my first breakfast. And speaking of food…being from a major metropolitan city with a thriving food scene, I was prepared to be underwhelmed by the food. Not so! All the meals I had at Christopher Place were outstanding. This place truly is a hidden gem — nestled in the foothills of the Smoky Mountains and then up a winding, private road on top of that, with no neighbors and no tourist noise to disturb you. If you are thinking of planning a stay here, DO IT…you won’t be sorry. Room Tip: Ask the staff…they are super helpful and friendly.”

“The hospitality extended by the owner and employees of Christopher Place was hands down the best my girlfriend and I have ever experienced. The property and house were very beautiful and cozy, the nights were quiet and peaceful, the views were awesome, but it actually felt like you were staying with family. Far enough from Gatlinburg to be out in the country, but close enough to be fun. Can’t say enough good in this review to accurately portray how welcome we felt there. We will definitely go back. Many times. Our new favorite place in the Smokies. Oh and the food was awesome too. Expect to be surprised by how good it is.” – Joseph

“My wife booked us for a weekend, as part of a birthday present for me. We had a terrific experience, at a very lovely Inn/resort. Marston and his staff were very accommodating throughout our time there, and since it was a weekend between winter and spring, it wasn’t extremely busy. We had two terrific breakfasts there, and dinner on Saturday night, which was superb. The Christopher Place chef is amazing, and served up sumptuous and delightful meals each time. She is excellent, you won’t find any better. We stayed in the Tournament of Roses room, above the fitness center and sauna, in the side building adjacent to the main Inn, accessible via a covered walkway. It was well appointed and comfortable, with a large tub and a fireplace. Furnishings were very nice and comfortable, though it may be time for an upgrade to the bathroom. Wasn’t a distraction at all, very functional and extremely clean. We looked at a few rooms in the main Inn, at least through the windows, and they looked just a bit nicer, but couldn’t guarantee that. When we go back, I believe we will opt for the main Inn building. Excellent selection of snacks, movies, bar, etc. made for a great stay. It is a bit secluded, in Newport, with not a lot to do close by, unless you drive to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, or for shopping in Gatlinburg, Sevierville or Pigeon Forge, each about 35-45 minutes on winding roads. Very ideal property if you are looking for a secluded, romantic weekend in the Smoky Mountains, or a few days alone. Wish the weather had been better, the pool, tennis courts, etc. looked great. Easy to find, just off I-40. I would highly recommend, and we’ll try to return.” – Chuck

“I stayed here with my wife for our anniversary. Absolutely perfect in every way. Great rooms. Great service from all of the staff. All of the food was absolutely fantastic! And the view of the smokey mountains from the rooms and the balconies is just breath-taking. I would highly recommend visiting Christopher Place Resort.” – Steven

“I found Christopher Place on the internet. Tired of the run of the mill hotels that are noisy and often not really clean, I decided to take a chance. It was a wonderful discovery-beautiful, quiet, intimate and not far from Gatlinburg, Asheville, and other places. The food was wonderful and the service was great. I would like to go back when the weather is a little better. The Roman Holiday suite was luxurious and has a three sided view of the mountains. Christopher Place is better suited to couples but quite a few folks marry or honeymoon here as well, so they accommodate whole groups too. You will not be disappointed if you stay at this lovely place!!” – Donna

“My husband Rick and I recently celebrated our 37th wedding anniversary at Christopher Place. Our room was very lovely overlooking the mountains. The food was fabulous from breakfast to the amazing dinners we shared while there. The staff is great and very accommodating, making you feel so welcome just like a second home. It’s close to everything but yet you feel secluded from everyone once you arrive there! We recommend it to everyone wanting a special retreat and hope to return again! One more thing, we especially loved Blue Bell the cat guiding us up the mountain hike.” – Mary

“We love this place! The food is amazing and the private quiet luxury is stunning! What a great place for romantic weekend getaways!” – Alyson

“Christopher Place will always have a special place in our hearts. We came for a 3 day getaway and we couldn’t have asked for a better stay. The staff was amazing and made sure we had everything we could possibly need. The view was breathtaking and the beautiful 3 story resort was perfect beyond words. We were treated to a delicious breakfast every morning and loved our dinner. We stayed in the Roman Holiday and as I opened the door they had rose petals on the bed saying marry me along with a fire going and roses everywhere. I turned around to my now fiance down on one knee. The fact that they helped him get everything set up was so special to me and spoke volumes about what kind of resort it really is. Lovely and secluded. I could go on and on. We would give them more stars if we could. We look forward to many more stays at Christopher Place. Thank you for making us feel at home.” – April

“When you are greeted, they tell you it is their job to spoil you, and that they do!! The accommodations are spectacular, food is great, staff beyond any I have seen. You will enjoy this beyond any other place.” – Ronald
