How far are you from the Smoky Mountains?

Our Smoky Mountain bed and breakfast sits on over 200 wooded acres on English Mountain overlooking nothing but the Smoky Mountains. We’re close to the Cosby Entrance of the Smoky Mountains National Park and close to many outdoor activities in the Smokies like ziplining, hiking trails, horseback riding, and more. We’re 35-40 minutes to the heart of Gatlinburg.

When is check-in?

Check-in is between 3-10 PM. If you will be arriving after 10 PM, please call or email to let us know.

When is check-out?

Check-out time is at 11 AM.

Is there free Wi-Fi?

Yes, we have free wi-fi for all guests here at the inn.

What’s the weather like in the Smoky Mountains?

There really is no bad weather in the Smoky Mountains – just seasonal variations. Summers are humid and often hot but being in a higher elevation helps a lot. Springs are wet and mild. How far is Christopher Place from Gatlinburg?

Gatlinburg is about a 35-40 minute drive from our intimate resort. Guests tell us they like that it allows them to be close enough for a day trip into Gatlinburg enjoying things there like the Arts & Crafts loop, shopping, moonshine tours, etc… while still enjoying most of their time here in the secluded retreat and the nearby adventurous activities like hiking, ziplining, white water rafting, and more.

How far is Christopher Place from the airport?

Because of its mountain location, Christopher Place is just an hours drive to Knoxville’s McGee Tyson Airport and just under and hour and a half to Asheville’s Regional Airport.

The Smoky Mountains are within a day’s drive of over half of the United States.

Is the Bed and Breakfast accessible in the winter?

Yes, our Smoky Mountain Boutique Hotel offers year-round access. There’s really no bad time to visit Gatlinburg and the Smoky Mountains.

Do you have a pool?

Yes! Our outdoor pool is open Memorial Day to Labor Day. We also have a sauna, tennis court, and several rooms offer jetted tubs. Check out our full list of amenities.

Which restaurants are nearby?

The best restaurant around is our very own Mountain View Dining Room. Our Chef Valentine whips up amazing multi-course meals 5 nights a week. Bed and breakfast guests and the public may join us with a reservation.

We also recommend Angelo’s at the Point – both its food and lake views are delicious – and Buckberry Lodge – fine dining with a feast for the eyes.

What is there to do close by?

With over 200 wooded acres overlooking nothing but the Smoky Mountains, there is so much to do right at Christopher Place. Hiking trails, picnics, swimming, tennis, and the game room all beckon from the estate.

There is also great Smoky Mountain National Park access at the Cosby entrance. This is often used by locals and not as packed with tourists and is a great way to enter the park. There are hikes for all skill levels, romantic hikes, and hikes to view waterfalls.  You can also drive or bicycle through Cades Cove. You can enjoy horseback riding, white water rafting, zip lines, and more.

And with a 40 minute drive to Gatlinburg, you’ll be able to partake in anything that Gatlinburg has to offer – Ober, Dollywood, Ripley’s Aquarium, mini golf, shopping, the Artisan Loop, moonshine tastings, and so much more.

Where can I get gift certificates? How can gift certificates be used?

Gift cards can be purchased over the phone, online, or in person. You can use gift certificates towards your stay, dining, or any amenities. Gift certificates do not have a cash value. Learn more here.
