Maybe your idea of the perfect TN winter weekend getaway involves romance, relaxation, and skiing. Maybe you like nothing better than to linger over candlelit dinners with your sweetie in the evening, sleep in, enjoy sumptuous breakfasts, then hit the slopes.
If this sounds like you, then read on.
Our Smoky Mountains bed and breakfast is elegant and peaceful. Enjoy a four-course meal in our dining room, or more casual fare in the pub. Take your breakfast in your room if you like. The time you spend here – whether it is cuddling in your room, reading by the fire, or enjoying a game of pool in the billiard room – is sure to be well-spent.
Although it may feel like you are in another world, you are less than an hour from the Ober Gatlinburg Ski area. When you feel ready to strap on those skis (your own, or rentals) it’s easy to do. There is currently three to four feet of snow at the base, and machine snow is available when nature doesn’t cooperate.
Ober Gatlinburg offers snow tubing, ice skating, alpine skiing and snowboarding. There are eight ski runs and three chair-lifts, so crowds shouldn’t be a problem.
You are always welcome to wander the 200-acres of our Gatlinburg area inn, summer, winter, spring or fall. But if you enjoy the wind rushing past your ears as you speed down hill on skis or snowboard, you may want to check out Ober Gatlinburg. You will still have the evening to relax at the inn.
