Gatlinburg is just an hour from our secluded inn, so unless you are coming from there, you will want to explore it. There are several fun Ripley’s attractions on the Great Smoky Mountains Parkway in Gatlinburg. Here you’ll find the Ripley’s Believe It or Not! Museum, which is truly worth a gander. Send a shiver up your sweetie’s spine when you visit Ripley’s Haunted Adventure, and laugh together as you try to find your way out of the Marvelous Mirror Maze. Mini Golf is always entertaining, the Moving Theater can be bumpy, and Ripley’s Aquarium of the Smokies is filled with wondrous creatures. Sure, it can be a little cheesy, but that’s part of the fun.
Another good spot is the Hollywood Star Cars Museum. You are sure to find a car in this collection that you remember from your youth, and one that will put a smile on your face. It is guaranteed to be a cheerful experience when you gaze upon General Lee from The Dukes of Hazzard, or the Jalopy from the Beverly Hillbillies. Here you’ll find Elvis’s Lincoln and Bob Hope’s Buick. You can see if Herbie the Love Bug really does have all that personality, and look at a Batmobile.
When you have had enough fun for one day, return to your Tennessee Smoky Mountains lodging, enjoy a good meal, and relax.
