September in the Smoky Mountains is idyllic. Summer crowds have headed back to school and work, and the heat has somewhat abated. The early morning mists that rise and cling to the mountaintops are beautiful at this time of year, and remind us of how the Smokies got their name. October follows with blazing fall foliage that turns the mountains into the color of sunset. The views from our Gatlinburg TN lodging are spectacular.
Come stay with us this fall for a romantic weekend retreat. We created our east Tennessee bed and breakfast with romance in mind, paying particular detail to the moods created by our public spaces. The intimacy of our formal dining room encourages closeness, and the fine dining culinary creations are delicious and deeply satisfying. We offer a romantic getaway package that includes three nights lodging, breakfast at your leisure, and one gourmet candlelit four-course dinner for two. We also offer honeymoon and anniversary packages that include four nights lodging and romantic four-course dinners on two nights. There are excellent restaurants close by in Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge, and of course, our pub is a less formal but equally intimate place to dine. It is no wonder that more than one proposal has occurred here.
Autumn is a lovely time for romance and weddings in eastern Tennessee. The two hundred acres that surround our Smoky Mountain Inn include wide, open lawns perfect for outdoor wedding ceremonies and receptions. The lawns are surrounded by rolling wooded land, with many shades of green in the spring and summer, and vivid reds, oranges, and yellows in autumn. Indoor weddings and receptions take place in large rooms with many windows to the view, along with covered decks and balconies. Perhaps a proposal this fall will be followed by a wedding next fall?
